Spider-Man Movies in Order: How to Catch Up Before Brand New Day

Spider-Man: Brand New Day opens July 31. Here is the Tom Holland trilogy in order, where all three stream on Disney+, and the minimum catch-up if you are short on time.

Published

Spider-Man: Brand New Day opens Friday, and the film picks up a Peter Parker whose world stopped remembering him. If your last watch was a while ago, that setup only lands if the previous film is fresh. Here is the watch order, where each film streams right now, and the shortest honest catch-up if you only have one evening.

The quick answer

  • New film: Spider-Man: Brand New Day, in theaters July 31, 2026
  • Watch order: Homecoming, then Far From Home, then No Way Home
  • Where: all three Tom Holland films stream on Disney+
  • Short on time? Watch No Way Home alone; it sets up everything Brand New Day starts from
  • Runtime for all three: roughly six and a half hours

The Tom Holland trilogy in order

#FilmYearWhere to stream
1Spider-Man: Homecoming2017Disney+
2Spider-Man: Far From Home2019Disney+
3Spider-Man: No Way Home2021Disney+

All three sit in Disney+‘s Spider-Man collection. No Way Home was the last of the three to arrive there, which is why the full trilogy only recently became watchable in one place. Before that, catching up meant hunting across services or renting.

The minimum catch-up

If you cannot fit three films before Friday, watch No Way Home. Brand New Day’s premise, a Peter Parker fighting crime in a world that no longer remembers him, follows directly from how that film ends. Homecoming and Far From Home add character history and emotional weight, but No Way Home is the one carrying the plot thread into the new movie.

A reasonable middle path if you have two nights: Far From Home, then No Way Home. Far From Home ends on the reveal that sets No Way Home in motion, so the pair plays as one continuous story.

What about the other Spider-Man movies?

This is where watch-order lists get muddled, so to be clear about what belongs where:

  • The Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield films are their own separate series. They matter to No Way Home as guest appearances, not as required viewing. You do not need them to follow Brand New Day
  • The animated Spider-Verse films are a different continuity entirely and are unrelated to the live-action MCU storyline
  • For Brand New Day specifically, the three-film Holland run is the only required track

Watching the new film

Brand New Day arrives exclusively in theaters on July 31, 2026, per Marvel’s official movie page. No streaming date has been announced, and any site claiming to stream it now is not legitimate. If you want the full picture before opening night, our guide to Spider-Man: Brand New Day release date and tickets covers showtimes and the early-access screening route.

Bottom line

Homecoming, Far From Home, No Way Home, all on Disney+, in that order. If time is tight, No Way Home alone gets you where you need to be. The Maguire and Garfield films and the Spider-Verse movies are optional, not prerequisites.

Streaming availability verified against Disney+‘s official Spider-Man collection page and the release date against Marvel’s official movie page as of July 27, 2026. Streaming rights can move; confirm on Disney+ before planning a rewatch night.
