Outside Lands runs August 7-9 in Golden Gate Park and passes are sold out. The waitlist, the one ticket route still open, gate times, and what to plan for.
Outside Lands is nine days out and the headline on the official site is blunt: tickets are sold out. If you already have a wristband, the useful information is gate times and logistics. If you do not, there are exactly two legitimate routes left. Here is both, straight from the festival’s own pages.
The quick answer

If you do not have tickets
The festival’s own site lists two paths, and neither is a resale market:
- Join the official waitlist. The site carries a JOIN WAITLIST prompt on every page. This is the festival’s own release channel for returned or newly released inventory
- Single Day VIP via SOMA Social Club, which the site flags as the only remaining VIP availability
Anything else you find is resale, and festival resale is where fake wristbands live. If you go that route at all, use only the festival’s official resale partner rather than a general marketplace, and never buy a photo of a wristband.

The map and app not being out yet matters for planning: do not count on in-app schedules for deciding your Friday. Check the official info page again in the days before the festival, since both are expected before gates open.
What to plan for
- Weather is the San Francisco trap. Golden Gate Park in August runs cold and foggy, especially after sunset, and music runs to 10 PM. People dress for “summer festival” and regret it by 7 PM. Layers are not optional
- Check the bag policy before you pack. The festival publishes a bag policy on its info page; confirm sizes and what is prohibited rather than guessing at the gate
- Plan transit, not parking. Golden Gate Park during a three-day festival is not a driving situation. The official site keeps a Travel & Transport section
- 11 AM gates, 12 PM music means the first hour is for getting in. If you want a front spot for an early set, the gate time is your real call time
